This morning we will travel approximately 40km to the delicately carved pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei which enjoys beautiful light early in the day. Later we will continue to the sacred Kulen Mountain waterfall, Thousand Lingas carved into the river bed and have the opportunity to see a giant Reclining Buddha in the nearby pagoda. This is a pilgrimage site for many local people and gets busy during the weekends.
Lunch near the temples
In the afternoon hours we will head back to Siem Reap through picturesque countryside stopping at Banteay Samre temple which sees relatively few visitors. We will also have the option to visit East Mebon, Pre Rup and watch the sunset from there or Srah Srang.
