Brief 5-day sample itinerary
Day 1 – Temple Exploration in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
Pickup at 5:50 AM.
We start the morning at the iconic Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric Buddhist temples built in the late 12th century by Jayavarman VII in honor of his mother. With enormous tree roots embracing ancient stone walls, this temple offers exceptional photographic moments and a deep sense of timeless mystery. Next, we continue through the forest to the North Gate of Ta Prohm, where a peaceful pathway leads to a hidden four-faced tower partly concealed by towering trees—an unforgettable sight for any visitor. From there, we drive onward to Banteay Kdei, another beautiful 12th-century temple built by the same king. Here, we will spend the rest of the morning exploring its serene corridors, detailed carvings, and quiet courtyards.
Lunch Break: Return to your hotel to relax and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon Program: Pickup at 2:45 PM by airconditioning vehicle for the next part of your adventure.
This afternoon, we’ll travel about 25 minutes to the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Our first stop will be Tempronam Monastery, where we may have the chance to photograph monks performing a water blessing. From there, we continue to the small hidden Buddhist temple Preah Palilay. After exploring Palilay, we’ll take a short ride to the Victory Gate, known for its four smiling stone faces. From the gate, we’ll walk along the ancient 500-meter wall to the Dead Gate, then follow the path past the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, and Prasat Sour Prout, before arriving at the multiple serene stone faces of Bayon Temple. Before returning to the hotel, we’ll end the day with a sunset stop at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, offering a beautiful final view.
Day 2 – Discover Banteay Srey, Novice Monks, and Angkor Wat Morning Adventure – Banteay Srey & Chuev Srey Vibol.
Start your day with an early 5:45 AM hotel pickup and a scenic 45-minute drive through the Cambodian countryside to the enchanting Banteay Srey Temple, famous for its intricate pink sandstone carvings and detailed Apsara bas-reliefs. Next, we’ll journey 25 minutes to the hidden gem Chuev Srey Vibol, where you’ll experience a magical novice monks photo session amid the ancient ruins. Capture the serene ambiance with candlelight and incense smoke, creating unforgettable Cambodia temple photography moments.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch at your leisure in town or back at your hotel. Afternoon Highlight – Angkor Wat Sunset Tour.
After a short break, we’ll pick you up at 3:00 PM for a mesmerizing Angkor Wat tour. Witness the golden afternoon sunlight reflecting on the iconic five towers across the water lily pond, and explore the temple walls adorned with beautiful Apsara carvings. For the perfect photo opportunity, climb to the third level for a panoramic view of this world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 3- Angkor Wat sunrise- Largest Budish Temple- Preah Khan- Floating Village with the real of Cambodian people living in the water.
This morning, we’ll setup alarm time and leave the hotel at 4.30am. We’ll travel 20 minutes to Angkor Wat temple for a classic sunrise shot at lily pond with 5 towers reflection. From Angkor wat sunrise, we’ll go to the largest bushiest temple calls Preah khan following the north gate with four smiling stone faces.
Lunch break by your own at the hotel or town area. Afternoon, you relax time enjoy the pool.
Day 4- Further afield- Prasat Pram with giant roots, Koh ker temple with monks, Ruined jungle temple Beng Mealea.
This morning, we’ll leave the hotel at 4.30am.
We’ll travel 2 and half hours to the north east of Siem Reap to Koh Ker temple. On the way, we’ll stop at one of a monastery pickup two monks go with us for our model shooting at Prasat Pram temple with giant tree roots and then we’ll continues to the prasat Thom also known as Prasat Thom. On the way back. We’ll bring the monks back to where they live and then we’ll continue to Beng Mealea ruined jungle temple. After Beng Mealea. We’ll stop for late lunch and then on the way back to the hotel stop at unknown Banteay Ampil temple and villagers’ daily lives on the way.
Day 5 – Cambodian Fresh Market • Street Life • Traditional Blacksmith • Floating Village
Morning (Pickup at 7:00 AM)
Start your day by immersing yourself in the vibrant rhythm of local life at a Cambodian fresh market. Here, you’ll photograph vendors selling colorful produce, street food, and daily essentials—capturing the authentic energy of Cambodian street culture.
Next, visit a traditional blacksmith workshop where artisans continue centuries-old metalworking practices. From there, we travel to a peaceful village setting, where you can document children playing, family interactions, and the gentle pace of rural Cambodian life.
Lunch break at your leisure—either at the hotel or in town.
Afternoon (Pickup at 2:30 PM) – Floating Village Experience
In the afternoon, we explore one of the remarkable communities on the Tonle Sap Lake, depending on seasonal water levels.
You’ll have the option to visit either:
- Kampong Kleang, one of the largest stilt-house villages with dramatic towering structures rising over the floodplains, or
- Mechrey, a small, charming community floating entirely on the water, ideal for observing daily life and enjoying a peaceful sunset over the lake.
Both options offer incredible opportunities for photography—from floating houses and fishing boats to wide-open landscapes glowing in golden afternoon light.
